A new chapter for SCANMEG

In October 2024, new shareholders took the reins of SCANMEG with the ambition of shaping the company’s future in close collaboration with the existing team by deploying a plan focused on sustainable growth, technological innovation, and strategic partnerships, while building upon the successes and expertise developed over the past 25 years.
Several strategic projects are underway, including the technological modernization of products to further enhance performance, reliability, and the relevance of the solutions offered in response to the industrial demands of tomorrow.

2001

Founding

SCANMEG is founded and the first SCANMEG infrared sensors are installed in the Canadian forestry industry.

2002

International market

SCANMEG products are distributed in the United States.

2006

New facilities and new products

ScanMeg quadruples its facilities to enhance production capacity and introduces new additions to its product line.

2009

First LIGNA participation

SCANMEG has been an exhibitor at the wood industry’s largest trade fair in Hanover, Germany, since 2009.

2011

P3 launch

Commercial launch of our P3 photocell, SCANMEG’s best-selling product.

2015

Expansion

Facilities are expanded by 50% to meet growing demand from the global market.
